About this site

For your reassurance and peace of mind...

1. Who runs this site?
The responsibility for this site, its content and opinions, is entirely down to me, Richard Moat. The posting of anything that appears on this site that is not authored by me will have been reviewed, possibly edited, and ultimately sanctioned by me personally.

2. Who pays for the site?
This site has been paid for, and is run and maintained using, funds earned through providing my one-on-one and corporate services. In time, the profits from products, services and downloads available on this site will pay for its upkeep, maintenance and development. No government grants have been secured at any time. No revenue is generated via advertising. No entity, whether individual or corporate, sponsors this site or has a vested interest in this site other than myself. This means I am completely free to decide the site's content and how it is presented.

3. What is the purpose of the site?
The purpose of this site is to make available a comprehensive, well-researched, trustworthy and accurate collection of information on the subject of how our emotions can affect our health. With the goal of being easy-to-understand and use, I consider this site as another option for your medicine cabinet (both literal and metaphorical). It is not designed to conflict with, nor call into question, any model of health and healing you may already turn to, nor to come between medical practitioner and client/patient.

4. Where does the information come from?
The information on this site is collected from a total of 26 years' experience working one-on-one with clients, in the region of 480 days of seminar attendance, a library of approximately 500 books and publications, and an incalculable number of hours of discussion and sharing with peers and fellow professionals.

5. What is the basis of the information?
Unless otherwise stated by reference to medical facts and figures, everything on this site represents my opinion, an opinion shaped from the thousands of hours of working with clients, seminar attendance, research and discussion. Where evidence-based information is presented, its source will be quoted.

6. How is the information selected?
Currently I am the only member of the Editorial Board responsible for selecting what information appears on the site, and a soon-to-be-announced Advisory Board is in the final stages of appointment...board members' details will appear here.

7. How current is the information?
Where information is constantly being added you will see reference made to the date it was last updated with the words 'relevant since...' alongside the title. This site, in particular the Health Detective section, is reviewed and updated on a regular basis to ensure the validity of what is posted.

8. How does the site choose links to other sites?
Links to other sites exist where I have personally validated the efficacy of what those sites offer, or I may have personally experienced the product, service, counsel, information, insight, advice or guidance of the person(s) in question. I do not accept financial payment for any links from my site to others.

9. What information about you does the site collect, and why?
This site only collects information that is vital in enabling me to provide you with any products and services you may wish to avail yourself of. In most cases this need only be your name and email address, and in scenarios where I may be despatching goods to you, a phone number and delivery address. Any credit card details that you discolse when paying for any product over the phone are destroyed once the payment has been processed.

Any searching or downloading of information that you may do is not recorded in any way. Your email address will be used to inform you of what you may have agreed or signed up to receive, or that comes as part of any product you may purchase or service you may subscribe to.

Such information that may be collected and held will never be sold, rented or loaned to any individual or organization outside of my company 'richardmoat.com Ltd' (of which Moativational Medicine™ is a registered brand).

10. How does the site manage interactions with visitors?
At the foot of every page there are Contact us, Feedback, Disclaimer and Terms & Conditions of site use links. Where applicable, service-specific terms, conditions, disclaimers and rights of use are in place and viewable.

Joining the community means that all community members will be provided with news of all developments; this will be done by e-mail only
